the story is that i lost my verizon phone for 2 weeks and got a replacement. a week later i found my lost phone. i had no use for it so i sold it to a guy that needs parts of it. he called verizon and gave them my MEID code and he found out the phone was reported missing. how much trouble can he get me in if he reports me eventhough i had no idea that i were to return the phone if i found it less than a month it was reported missing?

First did you get the replacement phone through the insurance plan that Verizon offers, where you pay a $50 deductible and get the same or similiar phone that was lost, stolen, damaged, etc? If this is the case, Verizon can make you pay the full retail value of the replacement phone and I know there are other things involved as I had gotten a revised contract regarding the insurace about 4 weeks ago for them but I don%26#39;t remember it off the top of my head.
If you purchased the phone on your own, I%26#39;m not sure what Verizon can or will do to you. But if this is the scenario I would contact Verizon and just say you forgot to call them to let them know you found it and was just going to keep it as an emergency phone just in case something happens to this one.
I reported my daughter%26#39;s phone lost, she found it in a car, called Verizon back up to let them know we found it and that they could reinstate the service. No problems until my daughter bought another phone and decided to use the pink razr as a backup, her new phone has some technical difficulties and it had to be sent back to the manufacturer to be repaired, I tried to reactivate the razr online and it wouldn%26#39;t work. I called Verizon and they asked if I had ever reported it lost or stolen, I said yes but I had called back the same night saying that we found it and they can delete the report, which they obviously did not. But there was no harm as I hadn%26#39;t sold it or anything and maybe in your case IF you purchased your replacement phone on your own without an insurance plan, they might look at it the same way.
Hope this helps! And good luck!
