I%26#39;ve been looking into buying a Blackjack with Cingular/AT%26T but I heard that in order to receive picture messages on it you need to have the internet on it.
Is that true?

No, that is not true. All you will need is a data plan. They are pretty inexpensive and they include text messages as well. I have the Blackjack and I pay around $30 bucks for unlimited texts and picture mail. It is not even necessary for the pictures that are sent/received to be connected to the internet in order to download. So, no, what you heard is not true. When you buy it they will want you to do a unlimited data plan for 39.99 which includes 1500 messages. You don%26#39;t have to do it, but if there is mail in rebates with the phone you are required to do to get the rebates. Good luck!!
