Samsung T629?

How do i make my mp3 files into ringtones

Answers:

What I did was first use a program (Windows Movie Maker in my case) to cut the portion of the mp3 that I wanted as my ringtone because normal songs are too long to be set as a ringtone. I then saved the cut part and uploaded it to my memory card (I saved it in the %26#39;sounds%26#39; file to differentiate it from my music.) From there it%26#39;s easy to set as your ringtone.

Just make sure that the part of the mp3 you cut is about or less than 20 secs. long and that the bit rate is 192kbps or less. (those were my problems) The T629 has an MP3 player on it, but with the restrictions it has, as far as they type of mp3%26#39;s it can play, it not worth the trouble. If you still have the user guide from Samsug, it gives specifics on the types of files you can play on. Basically the MP3 player on it is made for songs you download through T-Zones to be used as a ringtone. I work for T-Mobile and I have yet to figure out how to use true MP3%26#39;s as ringtones.
