Ringtone question?

how come my phone wont let me buy a ringtone??

i can receive text messages and pix messages.

i have the LG VX8100

any suggestions on what to do?

go to myxer.com, and you can download ringtones from your itunes so you can test stuff out without costing you money. Does your phone not allow access to purchasing ringtones or are you buying ringtones from somwhere other than Verizon%26#39;s "get it now" feature (assuming you have Verizion as I believe the LG VX8100 is a Verizon phone)? If you are buying from a 3rd party other than the "get it now" feature from Verizon you will not be able to set it as a ringtone, it will come over as a file and you can only set it as a "sound" not a ringtone. I had purchased the 8100 when it first came out and sent it back for this reason as well as not being able to record a sound with the recorder on it and set it as a ringtone. LG for some reason made this phone as well as a lot of their new phones to only be able to use the ringtones purchased from Verizon only. My daughter has the LG Chocolate and it%26#39;s the same way, ringtones from Verizon only, recordings are just sounds.
