I am a current Verizon customer with a pretty new Razr phone. I am interested in switching to Cricket (which also sells and supports the Razr phone). The website is saying that I have to purchase a "Cricket phone." Does this mean that I have to buy a *new* Razr? This seems ridiculous to me, and I can%26#39;t get a live person to answer their customer support number. Thanks!

sorry to say that you need to get a new razr from cricket. it is a necessery since all the phones are locked to used by certain provider. What you can do it cell you phone on ebay and use that money to buy a cricket phone. To get to know more about cricket you can join http://cellphonesmarket.com . its free. You would need to get a cricket phone! Cricket phones, since they dont require u to sign a contract are very expensive! And cricket is a company that doesnt offer very good service, so, think 2X before making the change! They have lots of roaming and long distance charges since u can only have a plan in your area and the `area` is not very well explained...
The reason u would need a new phone is because although they are razor phones, companies have different frequencies and a verizon phone may not work on crickets frequency...
