I guess answer tones are the songs you hear when calling someone instead of the standard ring sound. (maybe they should sell that too)
My daughter wanted one, but the song she wanted wasn%26#39;t on Cingular or AT%26T%26#39;s list.
I was wondering if you can get answer tones from another source like you can ring tones?

No, that works with ringtones, but not for answertones. When she buys an answertone, she will have (on att website) a page where she will be able to customize her list of contacts. She will have the option of allowing some people to hear that song, while others wont, she can choose the day to play and the time to play too... For that reason, you can only download from their website...
