Not possible. And generally all USB slots are the same so if you have a USB for anything it will fit into your RAZR. My advice would be not to do that. What you really need is Motorola Phone Tools. It%26#39;s a nifty program you put on your computer and you can connect to your phone and do all kinds of neat stuff including composing, editing and installing ring tones.
The cheapest and fastest way to get it is to buy it on eBay. You can get if for less then $5.00 and then download it so there is no shipping cost.
For current eBay listings go to eBay and do a search for “Motorola Phone Tools”. Look at the ones that offer digital delivery. I have seen it as cheap as $2.60
Once you have the software Motorola updates it free forever.

I have used Motorolla Phone Tools, great for a motorolla phone. But all you really need to do is, if you want to use an MP3, is cut a clip, then load onto your phone.

No, that is not true. All you will need is a data plan. They are pretty inexpensive and they include text messages as well. I have the Blackjack and I pay around $30 bucks for unlimited texts and picture mail. It is not even necessary for the pictures that are sent/received to be connected to the internet in order to download. So, no, what you heard is not true. When you buy it they will want you to do a unlimited data plan for 39.99 which includes 1500 messages. I have a Samsung Blackjack. I text a lot, but not during school odviously, but I keep it on in case of emergency. I just checked the blackjack that i got and if you press the power button but dont hold it, it will give you the option to power off and other options... go to option 6(silent) and that should work for you

A Samsung would make a much better phone. It%26#39;s better looking, faster, and has better features. If you were to pick a phone from those selections, the RIZR has my vote.
Unless your into texting, then go for the Samsung. Normally 16 year old guys would be into texting with their friends and the Samsung blast had made this easier.
But if your not into texting consider the RIZR, it features a 2.0 MP camera WITH flash, which may be quite nice. The RIZR also includes a USB cable and Micro SD card.
You could possibly wait a little while if you want either of these phones. I%26#39;ve seem the RIZR at $50.00 for a few times.
For me, I wouldn%26#39;t go for the Samsung Blast, typing without a QWERT keyboard is perfectly fine for me. (If I was 16 and had to choose a phone from TMobile, the Nokia 5300 or Samsung t629 has my vote.) dude go with the samsung blast...trust me....it looks way kooler got about the same features as the rizr but the rizr does have 2.0 mega pixels. but who cares the samsung blast has 1.3 mega pixels and thats not bad.but yea samsung is a better brand then motorala and the graphics on the rizr arent that good either

That is a phone I am not too familiar with, but I believe that if you get back to the camera screen where you are going to take a picture, there should be an options button. If you cycle through the numbered options there should be one named %26#39;fun frames%26#39;.

YOU CAN ONLY get this code from your cell pone company.
Once you enter the wrong code 3-4 times, the sim card will be blocked and the message SOS calls only will appear, that means your sim card is no good anymore, you will need to buy another one.
Im sorry for that, but I worked for a major cell phne company and had to deal witht his issue so many times.
Any time it happens, call them before entering any numbers.

See if your company can give you a free sim card, since it was an error. they do it sometimes

Hi I bought my Samsung D-900 a couple of months ago %26 only now am I getting some problems with it.
Whenever i try to send / receive a picture or video via MMS it takes forever to send / receive,then a message pops up hours later stating that it could not connect to the server.
However when I look into my messages, the supposed %26#39;sent%26#39; message appears in my outbox...does this mean the MMS has been sent or not?
Whenever I sent pics a couple of weeks ago,all sent MMS were saved into my %26#39;outbox%26#39;
So basically at present I can%26#39;t seems to send or recive MMS messages.

D900 is one of the best phones ive ever used, simple but affective! great 3mp camera, memory card slot (up to 2GB). GPRS. quad-band (worldwide), MP3, AAC, 3GP, MP4 playback. email on board, calender, alarm clock, calculator and Java Games.theres more but i cant be bother to list it all...i%26#39;d be sat here all night!!
the phones amazing but it does have one con...after you fill up the phone memory it will slow down a little. this can be counter acted by putting in a memory card and transfering the stuff from your phone, onto the memory card. SIMPLE!

okay does anyone know how could charge it without a charger. no im not stupid. but last year i left it on my friends roof, it worked abit, but not too much so i got a new phone. now i need the samsung to work again. except i have no idea at all where the charger is. i just turned my room literally upside down looking for it. and i dont want to buy another charger incase it doesnt even work anyway! gosh im sorry my question seems a little silly. but anyone who can help me or tell me the chances of it now working will be great!
1. Find another person who also has a e350 and borrow the battery/charger to test your phone.
2. Similar to no.1, ask people you know who owns Samsung phones and see if anyone of them uses the same battery or charger. (Or take a great risk and use any charger for a samsung phone that you can find)
3. I dont know where you are located. Some malls have charging stations/booths.
4. Try connecting it to a computer via USB. Most electronic gadgets like digital cameras and MP3 players get their power from the computer when its connected. That might work.

I have a samsung e900, and I know how to change the ring-tone (when recieving a call) to a music file on my phone. Is there a way to change the text-message tone to a music file stored on my phone - I only seem to be able to get pre-set tones.

i have a samsung e900 but when i try to record a video on it, i can only record for approx nine seconds but my memory status for videos is 9008kb why cant i record for longer and how do i make it so i can.
Although it says that videos can recorded up to 9008KB this is the amount that can be recorded when you have nothing else using the memory on your phone.
You can either delete some files or buy a memory card. you need a nbetter memory card it says u can record over 1 hour ive oredered 1 but not recieved it yet hi there. try going to your settings for the video camera and check the recording time as it may be set to the limit for mms. i know that was what was wrong with my u600. It sounda like you have your vidio set to only record for MMS which is why it records so little.If you change it remember to reset it afterwards otherwise your MMS will be messed up.

The volume is %26#39;reasonably%26#39; loud, its not as loud as phones that feature stereo output speakers like the Sony Ericsson K810i and will sound a lot %26#39;tinnier%26#39;.

I just bought a Samsung M300 picture phone. I was told by the sales rep when buying it, that this phone does not have a memory card or card slot. It has blue tooth but I don%26#39;t have a blooth tooth computer. Is there anyway I can transfer my pics to my computer for free, which means I can%26#39;t send %26#39;em to my email or upload to my sprint account online, as they%26#39;ll charge five cents per Kb.
Sorry bluetooth on this phone has been cripled. You can only send contacts to and from your PC no files b/c they have it disabled. Your going to need a USB cable.

well i dont really know too too much about it because i work with all carriers other than sprint, and they carry the samsung m620(upscale) . i personally like the phone for its thin sleek design that it has, but i also know that it is a music phone and if i were looking for a music phone, i would consider it and i think that it is one of the better phones that sprint has to offer

Justin! My mate,im hooked up to Tmobile,and had this problem months ago,in the end,i got so frustated that i demanded to have the voicemail stopped! Any business i do now is the usual calls and emails. I%26#39;m sorry I don%26#39;t know how to resolve that issue, but have you tried the contact us link from the website? Call customer service from a different phone. 800-937-8997. Tell them what is taking place. They will need to do two things. First, they will unregister you from the system. Once you power back on it will recreate your connection.
Next, they may want to rebuild your voicemail box - you will loose any save messages.
They will send you some tests to verify. BUT! Watch this situation, as it has been known to to come back!

I copied an extract from my PC in MP3 format and also in WAV format. It plays fine both ways and is stored under my Music library. How do I get this so I can select it as a ringtone. The Phone does not see it except as music? Thanks!
On my phone (Samsung SYNC) the file has to be under 300kb to be used as a ringtone. Try cutting your song to just the part you want as a ringtone (about 30-45 seconds)
Edit: Those sort of options should be in the left selection button. Look it up in your manual any what about telling us your phone model? also try to upload it directly to your phone using a data cable, not just copying it to a removable card

As much I hate Samsung, I%26#39;d say the SCH-u520. Just an all around better phone than the V3m. RAZRs just have too many problems. Samsung WELL I HAVE THE RAZR V3M AND LUV IT AND I SAW THE U520 NICE LOOKIN PHONE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT.

It usually fits in under the battery. Turn off the phone, remove the battery, insert the sim in the correct position and replace the battery! If your not sure how to do this get help. The carrier you have service under right now should help you with this! Most sim cards go behind the battery.

All you should need to do is press and hold the # key for about 2 seconds. It will then display the mode the phone is in. If it is not the correct mode, do it again. Then adjust the volume with the up/down keys on the phone.

I have both Opera browser as well as Opera mini browser in my nokia 6680 mobile.
Whenever i open a website in opera mini the data transfer is shown less than the data transfer in Opera browser for the same page. let for example if i open yahoo.Com in opera mini it shows about 20kb and if i open same in opera the data transfer is about 250kb,
why this large difference is shown for the same page in two different browsers?

I recently received a flier in the mail that if I%26#39;d commit to two years service with T-Mobile, I could get a free V3r. About two weeks ago, my Motorola V900 had stopped charging. Being out of warranty, I took it apart to find that the defect was the design of the manufacture of the phone and the charging wire inside the unit had broken.
Calling T-Mobile, I was told that as a current customer, I didn%26#39;t qualify for any free phones or discounts. Then, two weeks later, I get this "too good to be true" flier.
What%26#39;s your opinion of the Motorola v3r? I find it a bit to wide and the fact that it takes video and records only 12 or 19 seconds of video to be useless. Also, it%26#39;s as if this phone is designed by Motorola to be broken. If you use the headset supplied and the cord catches onto a draw handle or door knob, it will crack the circuit board. The corded headset is square and will not turn in the hole provided without stressing the works inside.
don%26#39;t go with a motorola phone again they have poor build quality unreliable and just very boring phones and there are better deals than that one have a good look around

But the v3r is an okay phone, some like motorola, I see many of the razrs having probs after a year, screens go out or they just dont work, look into the samsung line, we sell many of them and they are great handsets. Motorola v3 are crap phones, i had a v3x and it was rubbish. I suspect the r means refurbished. The operating system on motorola v3 are too complicated comapared to nokia%26#39;s. the P is for privacy. Its a feature that is in the network itself. It doesnt cost anything. I used to work for att and that feature usually appears on panasonic and samsung phones for some reason. It basically means that no one can tap into your conversation. Try turning your phone off and turning it back on. That might get rid of it. Or you can try going into the setting part of your menu, sometimes under "security" and turning it off. Hope this helps.

Ask Orange customer services. A magic number is simply a favorite number that you choose BUT it has to be on the Orange network. I left Orange because all their special deals seem to apply only to calls/texts to other Orange phones. I am now with Vodafone and get free weekends (calls to any UK mobile/landline) and all I need to do to qualify for that is to use ￡5 credit during the previous week

Basically I%26#39;m interested in their free text offers where I can get upto 1000 free texts a month for topping up so much the previous month. I%26#39;ve done a quick search and I see that someone else had asked a similar question just several weeks back with few answers, but I think they all recommended O2, as did my mother from what she%26#39;s heard (plus she%26#39;s with O2 pay monthly).

The customers service team are second to none they value your custom and they will really help you when you have a problem. My mobile does do things due to pressure on it while it is in my bag or pocket.

You do not have to sign a contract, they are anonymous. NO contract, but you will pay out the butt for minutes. It would cost way more than just getting a contract phone with the unlimited text and pic messaging. A good example is if you sent 500 text messages a month the phone cards for that would cost well over $100. the plans for contract phones start at $39 for the unlimited texting. Depends what carrier you go with.
Most of them deduct minutes you already have. Like net10 and tracfone deduct .5 minutes for every text or 5 cents.
I think carriers like Cingular and stuff deduct a money amount.. probably a couple cents.
You can buy phone cards at gas stations and stuff... usually you put a code on the card into your phone which either gives you the # of mins on the card or a money amount. And you can use the minutes until you run out and have to buy a new one.

I want to get a smart phone soon, and I%26#39;m seriously considering AT%26T%26#39;s 8525 in particular. One of the attractions is that it has WiFi. If I were to get this phone, would I need an (exhorbitantly priced) data plan? If I happen to be in a WiFi hotspot (i.e. my own living room), will I be able to surf the net for free? It is fast, easy to use and costs nothing to use! Your phone company may charge you data charges for the wap browsing but you can usually download 3 or 4 files for less than a dollar depending on your plan. I had to buy special software for my computer. Before I installed the software, the computer could not recognize my phone. Of course, I don%26#39;t have the same phone as you do, so maybe yours is different. You can do it 100%. You can use a card reader instead of bluetooth USB dongle (that is what I recommend). It works efficiently with high speed. Just insert your memory card into the adapter and the adapter into the card reader. Easy as clipping your fingers. PC to Cell and vice versa. Software comes along with Card reader when you buy one, its not costly. Inbuilt Bluetooth is easy for Cell to cell sharing. I don%26#39;t recommend the dongle. This question is for ANYONE who has an EnV phone (verizon) and makes their own ringtones...i recently got the LG VX8700 (the metal/silver one) and i have always made my own ringtones and they use to sound great on my old LG chocolate phone (would adjust when the bass got too heavy) but the next VX8700 doesn%26#39;t and the speakers just blast and sound all crappy when my phone rings.does anyone have this problem with their EnV (those who make their own ringtones).?

i have to lower the volume so that the ringtones have a lot more clarity, but i dont have a problem cause all i have to do is lower it from high ( highest) to medium high ( 2nd highest) and problem is fixed, and the phone is loud anyways! so it doesnt really bother me

great phone.but what u need to do is buy a memory card to put music or anything on it and then by a USB 2.0 card reader and then drag and drop songs to the file from limewire, be careful though it takes up some space on the card and not all songs transfer so ur not gunna get everything... hope this helps, enjoy the phone!

Verizon usually has the best reception, but it really depends on your area. Not TracFone, I can tell you that from my own experience. They%26#39;ve had to send me 3 phones and 5 SIM cards, all defective. They use their customers as SIM card testers. VERIZON AND SPRINT ARE CRAP. HAVEN%26#39;T HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT AT%26T CINGULAR. Hard to say, electronics can be so touchy. 1) check the time zone setting of your phone.
2) when you set an alarm, see if the alarm icon appears in your display screen which would indicate that you have set it correctly. normally, after the set time goes off, the icon should no longer be there. if it%26#39;s still there, there maybe a problem with your date and time setting.
3) see if your alarm tone is set to silent or vibrate mode and change to sound
4) if this is the first time it happened (meaning you have not had any problems on alarms before), might be a factory defect.

It could have been stolen, if you bought it from someone. Once the handset is lost or stolen, and the report is filed, the networks usually block them straight away.
If it%26#39;s not the case, and you know that for sure, it means that your phone is assigned to one network only.
If you take to second-hand phone shops, or some stalls in Sunday markets, where they sell mobile paraphernalia, you can have it unblocked for about ￡5-10.

i recently got a new phone in hong kong (LG) and when i put my T-Mobile SIM card in it, it displayed that the service was Cingular. My dad called me, and my number for T-Mobile still exists, along with my voice mail, but it displays Cingular for its service, even though it doesnt exist anymore, and it should be displaying T-Mobile. Can anyone help me and tell me why?
This is caused by a couple different possibilities.
You may be in an area where you are using cingular towers and therefore the phone recognizes the tower and is saying cingular. the other thing, is the phone a tmobile capable phone or is it cingular capable? if you got an unlocked cingular phone and are using your tmobile sim card the phone will still say cingular. as long as your phone works fine and their isn%26#39;t any crazy bill problems it probably isn%26#39;t a big deal. also you may wait a couple days and find that it automatically changes over. who knows!

Your best bet if you are going to purchase a GSM phone here in the States would be getting an UNLOCKED quad-band GSM phone. England is GSM900 and GSM1800 so be safe and get a quadband. On Ebay, you can get a brand new unlocked non carrier branded motorola quadband phones cheap.
As of todays offerings for UK PAYG, I would recomend getting a T-Mobile UK sim. Again, based on todays offers, they are the best for a American spending time in England.
All call to UK mobiles and landline are 15p a minute. All incoming calls are free. You can also buy a package for cheap calls back to America. You can pay ￡2.00 and that will give you 50 minutes of calls to america, thats 4p a minute to phone back home.
You can get a T-Mobile UK sim prior to leaving the US, the sim will have your UK # that you can give to family and friends before you leave. You can also top-up the card before you leave if you use an American Express card

i get really weird calls on my cell phone from a variety of strange zipcodes. 9 different numbers i dont kno have called this week! if not you can call the non emergency # for your police (7 digit not 911) and report the strange calls

yes, if you have a built-in card reader for an sd card in your laptop, you can definitely insert your sd card there. ^_^ You need to have an sd adaptor for your phone memory card then it will fit in no probs, you should have got the adaptor when you bought the memoery card look for slots in the side of the laptop they should be on to take your sd card just plug it in if it does fit right turn it over and it should come with drive? just click on that good luck

you might want to buy a micro sd card bc ur phone has a slot for it. these little cards are available at any electronic store and any cingular dealer. this card is available anywhere from 1 gb all the way to 4gb but i recommend the 2 gb most phones cant support 4 gb. most computers have an sd slot, so u put this card into ur computer and download all the music u want to the windows media player and then download the music from there to ur card. whaalaa put the card into the phone slot and now ur phone is an mp3 player. these cards are either $29.99 or 39.99 hope that helped. you%26#39;ll either need a usb cable or a bluetooth dongle to be able to transfer from comp to phone.

i have a sony ericsson p990 and a nokia n70, which am havin some keypad trouble with. the top half of the keys on the p990 do not respond when the flip is closed and the * and right soft key on the n70 do not respond when pressed. any ideas on how i can solve this problem, its seriously hampering nearly anyhting i try to do especially on the p990.

it would need to be unlocked for it to work on alltel. all carriers lock the phones they sell so that they only work for them but people have unlocked phones to use on any carrier. u just have to make sure that its the same technology a GSM will not work with CDMA. and vice versa. call the alltel people and explain it to them First, he should call Verizon and ask them for the unlock code and instructions. Otherwise, you would need to Google "cell phone unlock service" and pay $30 to one of those sites for the same thing. You see, a branded phone from one carrier will not work with a SIM card of another carrier. An unlocked phone will play with pretty much any provider.
You might also call Alltel and ask if they can generate the code so that you can use it on their service. Oh, FYI, the unlock code is generated from the IMEI number of the phone.
But then what do I know, I%26#39;m just, "the Really Old Guy". Quality wireless phone service for less.
