Prepaid cell phones- Which one is the best to get?How much does it really cost?

Answers:

Prepaid cell phones are really only the best option if you are mainly going to do voice calls. They are usually very feature limited (only two bands: can%26#39;t be used over seas if gsm phone, usually no camera, bluetooth, or any of that other fancy stuff). They are usually more expensive than a phone you get with a plan, because the phone company makes you pay for it all by yourself when you start out instead of making you pay for it by locking you into a plan and then paying for it with during your contract (don%26#39;t worry, it%26#39;s not a separate charge; it;s included in your plan, ask the salesperson though). A prepaid plan, however is different. You could go to your local cell phone store and ask for a prepaid plan if you already have either an unlocked gsm phone, or have that company%26#39;s phone. They will then give you a sim card that you can put into your phone along with some credit. Remember though, the stuff about the prepaid plan only applies to GSM (Cingular, T-Mobile, at%26t, etc.) and not CDMA (Sprint, Verizon, MetroPCS, alltel, etc.). Again, ask a local cell phone store person about it. I would suggest you only get a prepaid phone if you don%26#39;t want any surprise charges or want to something easier to manage than plan or don%26#39;t really need that many minutes to use. click here for AT%26T prepaid rates:

http://www.wireless.att.com/gophone... I%26#39;d say Verizon but they charge a fee of .99 cents a day. Also they have pretty good coverage. Virgin mobile on the other hand charges .35 cents a day but with less coverage. I THINK US CELLULAR IS THE BEST PRE PAY THEY OFFER FREE INCOMING CALLS,TEXTS,PICS AND NO OTHER COMPANY OFFERS THAT.

  1. Try NET10 prepaid for cheap, but exceptional quality, cell service. They have been my fav cell carrier for about a year now and i totally love them! Cheap 10c per minute rates with no extras added to your bill or service subrtracted from your airtime balance. They have exceptional network coverage though, the best I've seen on prepaid and I've tried pretty much all of them.
