You will only get charged by your provider for text messaging if you do not have a messaging bundle or if you go over your allowed messages. Okay well I have vonage, and I live in Canada. I want to phone a friend who lives in Colorado, when I dial, or like phone to the U.S it%26#39;s free because of my plan. But when I dial it, it says it can%26#39;t be completed ? Do I like, press a number before I dial his ? The beginning of it is 970 ? I tried dialing 1 before and it didnt work =S

did you dial the area code? if 970 is the postal code is should work when you put 1 at the start if that doesnt work put 11,then the postal code and the number.

Dial your voicemail like normal, and chose option 4 (change personal options), then 3 for greetings, then 1 for personal greeting. If you get dumped into your voicemail messages right away, hit the * key to get into the main menu, then the 4-3-1options above. you call *86, enter your password and go to like settings and follow it from there you have to call to your voicemail. (dial your own number from your cell, or go into messages/voicemail, in the main menu) when u get to your vm, there should be prompts in there for you to change your greeting. if you have ?%26#39;s just call your provider they can take u step by step to change.

What would be better to hav a plan or pay and go if all i really want the cell phone for is text messaging

You know I just canceled my plan because I was just using my cell for texting also and I must say that was the biggest mistake ever!! As soon as I%26#39;m relocating to TX I will get right back on a plan. I actually pay a lot more money with pay as you go because they charge you different rates when you place and receive calls. They even charge you when you call someone and get no answer!!

I suggest paying an extra 5 bucks a month for x amount of texts (depending on phone company) Also find out if the company you work for entitles you for some ddiscount with your monthly bill (i.e. government employees get 15% discount with cingular/at%26t) text messaging for virgin mobile pay as you go is ten bucks a month but thats a pay as you go plan(meaning you can cancel whenever)

but you shold just get like sprint or version and get a crappy plan and add unlimted texting.

or you can get verison i think has penny texting.

However, the problem is that you%26#39;re with Verizon. They install the same software on all of their phones, so you%26#39;re really not going to be able to explore the full potential of the KRZR.

Simgc sounds like every phone out there to me. Orange: Sanyo S750i has a calander, Sd card slot, two cameras (1 back 1 front) and 2 Java games. it doesnt have a very bvig phone memory though, but the max SD card it can suport is 256 MB BUT to send anything by bluetooth or infrared, you have to move it to the phone memory, but otherwise it is a very simple phone to use. and all for ￡60 Nokia N73 recommend.

Digimartz.com has it at low price. new Nokia communicatoe E90, i have the 9300! and the new ersion is much better, cannot wait to upgrade to it.

My fave feature on it is the WiFi HTC 8525, has everything you want plus LOTS more!!

You should call your service provider with this one. Most often, phone companies block the internet connection when the subscriber doesn%26#39;t include the %26#39;internet service%26#39; option in their monthly plan- they do this b/c most often, people aren%26#39;t aware that you have to sign up for this feature to use it.

i have cincular 2 , take it into a pro. hopefully they wont have to take out ur sims card!! Your best option would be to take it to an ATT store where repairs are done. Talk to the tech geek if you can. Could be a bad phone. If under warranty, they can get you going with a loaner phone right away...

Most times the pictue quality is good but sometimes its grany / not very good. Any reason why the quality is poor sometimes.

Keep in mind the application is only 2 megapixels. because they are 2Megapixel, the standard at the moment is around 3.2 It%26#39;s a phone... if you want to take good photos, buy a camera!

Just don%26#39;t answer calls from blocked numbers or numbers that you don%26#39;t recognize on your cell phone. Once you stop giving them satisfaction, they will stop. Don%26#39;t worry about missing calls that were meant for you. If the caller is legitimate, they will leave a message. We had the same problem %26 the cell phone company said they couldn%26#39;t do anything either. The only thing I can suggest is to do what we did. Assign the private call a ringtone that is silent. That way you won%26#39;t hear it ring %26 they%26#39;ll have to leave a message. Another thing you could do is to forward your cell phone to a land line that has anonymous call rejection. They%26#39;d have to show their number for it to go through. Sorry you%26#39;re dealing with that. It%26#39;s no fun. they dont really go by minutes..atleast virgin mobile doesnt. because..basically with virgin mobie you have a plan..like 10 cents a minute..or 50 a month or whatever..(go to virginmobileusa.com to look at all the plans..) so lets say your paying 60 dollars a month for unlimited talking..you put 60 dollars in your account..with a top up card, or using your debit card on the website...and then it takes that money out, and that would go for your unlimited texting plan..get it?

its just like any other phone plan basically..except instead of paying a bill each month, you top up with a phone card or credit/debit each month.

dude there really is no way to answer your question since you aren%26#39;t giving us anything to go on. pay as you go is pre-paid. if youre talking about pick your plan pre-paid (with the new at%26t which i can only assume since you said pay as you Go) the pro%26#39;s of the pick your plan is: its automatically deducted from a checking account, its more mins for your money, you can get a text messaging package, it really is the closest thing to a regular price plan without having a contract. con%26#39;s if you dont go with a higher price plan it wont be worth it, it is automatically deducted from your checking so you can%26#39;t just stop using it, it is more of a hassel to cancel than the pay as you Go, if you go over your mins you are suspended til you purchase more (could be a pro or a con depending on who youre buying for)

Pros for pay as you Go: no worries about checking or credit card automatically being deducted, sometimes you can get a special for the phone where its only $1 for the phone (its a cheap peice of hud tho and it depends on the store tho), it really has most of the same pro%26#39;s as the pick your plan. Con%26#39;s: you have to buy your mins at a store, they expire either 30 days later (if its the cheapest mins available) or 90 days (for everything else except one other one) or 1 year if you purchase the $100 card, $1 a day to use it (if your phone is turned on and connects to a tower, so you have to take out your battery too), you get charged per text message (no packages) last i checked it was 0.25/message. Its a real pain to be completely honest.

I am on a PAYG phone. I topped up to ￡5 credit - I was sent two messages from a premium rate text and I did%26#39;nt read - just deleted them. Now I have 90p left and this has been going on for ages. The operator has no control what you subscribe to via services like ringtone suppliers, and the longer you stay subscribed to it the more messages you will receive. Contact customer services as soon as possible and get yourself out of the subscription. Get hold of your phone company and tell them you want this number blocked or if this does not work you will have to find the contact number of the sender and tell them to stop ALL of the SMS, my daughter had this trouble after she downloaded a Ring tone from JAMBA , they keep sending offers that cost a pound each even if you don%26#39;t want them. Vodafone are a bunch of crooks, apparently they take about 35 pence for each of these reversed billed text messages.

I had the same problem with a contract phone, did the same as you deleted the text and only found out later they were reverse billed.

Apparently you can phone 191 to get more info on the texts.

You can also reply STOP ALL to the texts but this might not work as the senders are crooks too and will ignore it.

You will also need to look at how they bundle the air time. Get a brochure from each one and sit down and compare them to one another and see which one you like best. I personally use Virgin Mobile, they run on the Sprint network. But text messages cost 15 cents to send and recieve! Although I did get free nights after nine, I would go through those 200 minutes in about two weeks or less! So it would cost me $30-$45 a month! It even cost minutes to check your voicemail if you do it before nine. Oh and you do not get free weekends with the Verizon prepaid plan. Also, the phones are expensive and they seem to break easily.

All in all, I think you best be is to get a good phone with a good plan for the same price as this prepaid junk! virgin has the best rates, and they do have either cards or top up recipts. here are their plans

Prepaid phones, cost and do they work in Canada?

I%26#39;m going to be traveling soon, but my phone got deactivated while I switch services. Hence, to keep some kind of contact, I need a prepaid phone.

I only need maybe 100 minutes (its just to set up meetings) and it needs vibrate functions, as well as ringing. It does not need ringtones.

Your RAZR phone will work with both account types. yes you can Most of the phones are locked. You have to unlock it and then you can put the sim card. Is the SIM card from the same company if it is never mind what I said. To unlock it cost about $100. Its no use of unlocking your phone buy another unlocked phone on ebay for little as $90.

Problem reading sms text?

My b/f is using an Austrian mobile phone. Recently when he travelled, he could not read most of the SMS I sent. Text had turned into funny codes. Also, he was getting the same message from me several times in a row and all in codes. Anybody knows why? And solution?

Problem with bluetooth.?

i have problem with my bluetooth.it always show me the operation failed.i though my memory card is full but it not...what should i do?

Based on your wording I am assuming that you are trying to send a file from your computer to your phone.

It is possible that your phone does not accept incoming file transfers. I was able to transfer a file to my Palm Treo 700P, but was not able to transfer to a co-worker%26#39;s Motorola Razor.

My suggestion for a bypass would be to transfer the files to your memory card and accessing the files on the card with the phone.

Problem with k750..!?

i have taken a new k750i cell.

when i turn my cell off n then on again it says inactive sim.it says this again n again...how do i deal with this problem??

this problem does not occour when it is on charging...so when ever i put my cell off n want to put it on i have to keep atached to charger..!

so please advice bcoz this is not possilble everytime...

3. Try using another operators simcard in your phone

4. If none of the above said works then may be you can just change the software for the phone with a local authorised dealer i am sure since your phone is new you can get it done free of cost . My k800i (sony ericsson) has a weird problem.

it can%26#39;t run applications (games and software alike... ) error message displayed is "Operation Failed," and the only option is to press OK (left softkey)

I have T-Mobile currently, and I want a Sidekick. Since I already have a T-Mobile SIM card, do I need to get an unlocked phone, or can I save a lot of money and buy it locked?

Since you are already on T-Mobile, you wouldn%26#39;t need an unlocked phone. You would just have to switch your sim card over to the Sidekick.

EDIT: They do not have to send you a new sim card. They can just add the data plan(if you do in fact want it) for $20/month. The provisioning for the plan is done over-the-air, so there is no need for a new sim card. It%26#39;s my understanding that although a T-mobile SIM card will allow any unlocked GSM phone to function on their network, the Sidekick uses a private data network (different from the EDGE network) and so in order to use a Sidekick, you need to have a T-mobile Sidekick data plan, and they will have to send you a new SIM. You can verify this by calling their customer service folks, they%26#39;re usually pretty good. I went through a lot of grief with them trying to get my Tom-Tom GPS unit to connect to their GPRS/EDGE data network. Ultimately the best answer we could come up with (after 8 hours on the phone) was that I needed to buy another phone, because of the unique way that the Sidekick connects to the data network. I still wouldn%26#39;t trade my Sidekick III for anything else on the market.

Question about Verizons Chocolate phones?

Can you only download music from the selection in the phone, or can you also download music into the Chocolate from say, iTunes or MediaMonkey?

You can upload your CD%26#39;s to your Chocolate as well as other music that are MP3 files. Unfortunately iTunes is not an MP3 format, however...you can burn the music in iTunes to a CD and then rip it into another media play such as Windows Media Player which will then open them up in the media player (not itunes) as MP3 files. The bad thing is all the information that you have from iTunes such as song title, artist, album, etc., does not come over when you burn the music so you will have to hand type this information once you have ripped the songs from the CD to the media player. Also you do not have to use a music CD-R, I did it on a CD-RW (less expensive since you can burn on it over and over again) and it worked fine.

Now the easiest way to upload the songs from your computer to your phone is to purchase the Music Essentials Kit for the LG Chocolate from Verizon (these kids are also made for other Verizon phones such as the Razr). The only difference in the various kids is the USB cord since some phones have different connections, but they all come with the same software CD. This kit costs between $29.99 to $39.99. Again this is the easiest way, in my opinion to upload the music to your phones. I have one for my daughter%26#39;s Chocolate %26 one for my Razr.

As far as MediaMonkey, well I%26#39;ve never heard of it so I couldn%26#39;t say whether you can or cannot upload to your phone using it.

You can download music on your computer but you have to convert the files to WMA or MP3 and have a data cable to connect your phone to the computer then transfer the songs. Or you could get a Mirco SD card and reader and just put the songs on the Micro SD card and stick it in the phone.

sony walkman phones are far better, i got the w580i and its amazing, the 5300 has a memory card slot but mine couldn%26#39;t cope with a 2gb and my sony has a 4gb card which is nearly full and doesn%26#39;t slow the phone down at all, the camera is only 1.3mp on the nokia, hope this helps To be honest with you stick with the Sony Ericsson W810i as it is actually superior to the Nokia with regards to MP3 player quality, camera quality and size/appearance.

You best bet is to go to a T-Mobile store (not the kiosk in the mall). Ask them for their best deal (they CAN deal). Then, get them to toss in a car charger or a case - for free, of course!

Most of the ones I used go around you ear (ie get held by your ear but does not go inside). Actually I do not know of hand of any that go inside your ear. These are the bluetooth for the phone, if you mean headsets like for an i-pod then yes there are many (most I seen are also not buds).

BTW, Bluetooth is a wireless connection method and not a device in specific. There are bluetooth mics (use for camcorders), headsets (use for listening to music), mic/earphone but like in some new car it is use for connecting the phone (or mp3 player) to the car stereo. And I use bluetooth to connect my phone to the computer to download and upload ringtones, pictures, songs, my phonebook, any text messages, calendar, etc...

Random Call On My Cell Phone...?

I keep getting random calls on my cell phone for people asking for Joel. Unfotunetly Im not Joel so I turn them all away dissappointed. All the calls come from an area code 724. Where is that? Im just curious to see what kind of long distance charges Im gonna get next time I answer and tell them that Joel isnt here.

Razor Cell Phone Problems?? how could i fix it?

i got my razor back in 06 and havent had any problems until my screen started to mess up. now when i turn on my phone the screen is white and sometimes it will come back and i have no water damage to the phone the phone has been dropped 3 times but it never really effected the phone and this has happened to me b4 but last time my screen was spilt in half and was different colors... any one have advice or know what to do?

This happened to me too. I took the battery out %26 when I put it back in it came on normally. I don%26#39;t know if it was a software glitch or if it will mess up again. You could try it %26 see if that helps. call the phone places and see if it is still under a warranty and thy will send you a new one for free this happened to my phone too. the screen split and it was white a purple.

you have to get a new one. As a previous tech for verizon I can assure you this is a known issue with the razor. It is not something software will correct. If you are within your 1 yr warranty and have no liq damage they can offer a free warranty replacement. if you are outside of your year and have no liq damage a 50 dollar fru(field replacement unit) should be offered to you. It is the same model of phone just refurbished.

Razor Cell Phones Verizon...?

I just got a silver razor cell phone, do they work well?

i havent had any problems out of mine and i work inside a huge warehouse. great service on it good battery life. I have a razor from verizon i love it! its great! then again verizon is pretty good! You shoulda asked this question before you got one. And NO I hate my Razr. The Verizon Razors aren%26#39;t the real RAZRs. They%26#39;re basically fake RAZRs. The real ones were originally from Cingular/ ATT. But other than that, they work amazingly well. I had one and it was a really good product.

They have a lot of features as well. The person who said good battery life should be barred from answering cell phone questions. The fact is most Motorolla phones don%26#39;t deserve the reputation for quality they have. There%26#39;s a durability with both the old razor and the new v3xx with the MP3 player but that%26#39;s largely because the phone is small and thin and therefore breakable. Sanyo%26#39;s have great reception, Samsungs have good screens and speakers, but I stear clear of Motorolla and LG. no very undurable especially if you hold it in your hand the moistere from your sweat will break it and they won%26#39;t replace it becuase its from "water" damage they aight it is a bad cell phone you shuldnt buy a better one No. I had this phone for..maybe a couple months. It was the worst couple months of my life. Horrible battery life, fair reception, poor quality pics...dropped calls, missed calls...the general slowness to do ANYTHING (3 seconds for a screen to switch doesn%26#39;t sound like much until you%26#39;re waiting for the number you just pressed to pop up)...the 10 minute ordeal of erasing txt messages...speaking of txts, my Razr kept failing sending of txts. It was fairly easy to fix...turn the phone on and back off...but considering I send 5,000 txts a month I was literally turning my phone on and off at least a thousand times. That doesn%26#39;t count the times it turned on/off on it%26#39;s own. The day I got rid of the phone I had nearly had a mental breakdown and I had to do SOMETHING. I would%26#39;ve thrown the phone to release frustration had I not watched it fall to pieces when I dropped it by accident...onto carpet. I went back to Samsung. Good luck with your phone...you%26#39;re gonna need it. Not with Verizon service.
