Replaced phone due to fault, new one has flight mode can someone tell me what this is. no info with

you can keep your phone on in the plane but your cannot make or receive texts or calls. your phone will not transmit any signal at all. but you can use it for games/music etc Flight mode is when you turn on your phone and it doesnt receive texts, calls etc

it will only allow you to take photos and listen to music etc

this is idel for planes and hospitals as you turn off all your receivers so the radioactive waves wont damage any sensitve equiptment
