Well i have Sprint and the V3m Razr and i was trying to do the same thing, after much deliberation and messing around with bluetooth and a data cable, I called their tech support and found out that they have disabled their blue tooth capabilities to download files that way (even phone to phone sharing) and a data cable won%26#39;t work with it either. The Tech Support guy claims that "it was having too many problems" I call BS on that claim, others agree that Sprint has done this so the only way that you can add mp3%26#39;s, %26 backgrounds is to buy their stuff off the phone.
One other thing that the Tech support said was the only way to load stuff onto it was to get a card reader and use the card that came with the phone. Since I already spent $$ on the bluetooth adapter for my computer, I am not going to spend more money on that. I%26#39;ll just take pictures for backgrounds and use the voice recorder to make my own ringtones. Sprint is evil . You can either use a USB Data Cable or you can get them using your phones browser but you have to have internet access on your phone to do it that way.
First go to www.motomail.co.uk
they have free ringtones or you can upload your own songs to the website and use their editing program to cut your songs down to the size of a ringtone. Once you have the song you want, they will either give you a URL to type into your phone and your phone will download the song from there or you can plug your phone into your computer using the data cable and get the song that way.
Also if you have the program "Motorola Phone tools" you can transfer your songs that way using the data cable. This site is great for downloading ringtones
